DAY 1: BANGKOK – DAMNOEN SADUAK – KANCHANABURI (189 km)

Pick-up at your hotel in Bangkok in the morning and transfer to the Damnoen Saduak floating market before visiting and taking the River Kwai train.

Lunch and train ride in Kanchanaburi.

The bridge was built in Kanchanaburi, a province in Western Thailand, to provide a rail link between Bangkok and Yangon. Crossing the bridge will immerse you in Siam’s painful past, when the kingdom was under Japanese occupation.

Dinner in the city and overnight at a hotel in Kanchanaburi.

DAY 2: KANCHANABURI, AYUTTAYA, SUKHOTHAI (427 km)

Departure in the morning for Ayutthaya, in the north of Bangkok. Visit Wat Phananchoeng temple, where children can feed the fish. This temple houses the largest seated bronze Buddha, built in the 15th century. Then, visit the Wat Yaichaimonkhon temple.

Lunch on site or during the transportation.

In the afternoon, depart for Sukhothai. Dinner on site and overnight accommodation.

DAY 3: SUKHOTHAI, CHIANG RAI (512 km)

In the morning, visit the Wat Mahathat temple, the largest temple in the city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Depart for Chiang Rai and lunch during the transportation

Dinner at leisure and overnight stay in Chiang Rai.

DAY 4: CHIANG RAI – CHIANG MAI (227 km)

Lunch and afternoon visit to the White Temple (Wat Rong Khun), the Blue Temple (Wat Rong Suea Ten), and the Giant Buddha (Wat Huay Pla Kang) in Chiang Rai.

Return to Chiang Mai in the evening by minivan, dinner, and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 5: CHIANG MAI – BKK

Cruise the Mae Ping River by local boat in the morning.

Marvel at the epic views of teak houses and rural greenery, and enjoy local ice cream and herbal juice along the way. Lunch on the way back.

Transport to the airport and flight back to Bangkok.
