Experience the way of life by using public transportation like local Thai people and avoid the traffic by using BTS, public boat and have fun in a Tuktuk. Visit Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn) which used to be a royal temple in the old palace during the Thonburi period and its beautiful pagoda is currently used by the Tourism Authority of Thailand as its logo. Walk through the Kudeejeen Community, a unique identity in terms of the way of life and coexistence between Buddhists, Christians and Muslims. Explore the many allies within the community and see classic old wooden houses, Santa Cruz Church (a combination of Renaissance and Neoclassical style building), Kian An Keng Shrine (a Chinese Hokkien shrine that is considered one of the oldest shrines on the Thonburi side and despite being over a hundred years old, is still beautiful with detailed wood carvings). Then come to pray at Wat Kalayanamit, a royal temple, where inside the temple is Phra Buddha Trai Rattananayok (known as Sam Po Kong by the Chinese People) and is a replica of Wat Phanan Choeng that’s in Ayutthaya, Thailand. After that we’ll go to Talad Plu (Chinatown on the Thonburi side) to have lunch (cost of lunch is not included in the tour fee). We’ll wrap up the tour with a boat trip to visit Wat Paknam, where Phra Maha Chedi Maha Ratchamongkhon (a Buddhist stupa with a height of 80 meters) and Phra Buddha Dhammakaya Thep Mongkol (a Buddha statue in the meditation posture that’s 69 meters tall) both stands.
